July 2010 Inspiration struck me one night to make a sample web page advertising Dove deodorant. What came to mind is what you see: image of deodorant* in foreground and horizon line to add perspective, splashed with tiny gradients to give it a 3D taste. Copy written is somewhat satirical; directed at teenage girls to influence their buying decisions based on social needs. Advertising approach was to first introduce goals and then explain that the only way to reach those goals is to use the product.
Using video is a great marketing tool used to connect with buyers on a semi-personal level. Adding a cat to the mix pretty much seals the deal; sharing the "cute video" also shares the product.
*Disclaimer: image used of Dove deodorant is from their web site and I do not claim it as my own in any way.
March 2010 Complete redesign of my grandmother's Bible study website. Goal: easy to read; improve navigation.
Visual solution
Navigation solution
April 2009 Redesigned August 2010 When I bought a Wacom Bamboo Fun Tablet, I merely desired a website to post drawings. Very simple design to leave the focus to the content. I also couldn't live without proper organization and clear navigation. Used PHP includes to encourage frequent updates with ease.
February 2008 The goal of this assignment is to use a design's characteristics to identify its stylistic period. The assignment also seeks to create a portfolio piece that demonstrates the fundamental use of XHTML, CSS and Adobe (Macromedia) Dreamweaver.
November 2007 Website design was to be integrated into the art show promotional campaign which aimed at simple elegance. This website was to be used to promote the Oral Roberts University 2008 senior art show, the students involved, and potential sponsors. Typeface used for header image, whisk shapes, and colors used were part of the campaign design by Sarah Dunbar and Naomi Cooke. The website was never published due to lack of content information.
April 2006 Personal website. Mainly it was an application of separating style from content and initial use of PHP includes (PHP includes not used in sample web page, but they are used in this portfolio).
